Glad they aren't active yet, had the camera flash on me at Edmonton Trail and McKnight on the weekend, and have seen it flash a few times the when the light turned yellow so I figured it was for speed and not the red light.

There is no way in hell I'll be able to remember 1/4 of these intersections and I cannot, I mean it is litterally not in me to go the speedlimit so I will eventually be paying this "tax". Oh well.

need to look into those GPS units that give out a shout when you are near one. Not seen them over here but theyve been around in europe for speed camera installations for an age

Seems pretty much every red light camera has been changed over, there are a few on there on my regular drives so I will have to try to remember, wonder what kind of tolerance they have, if you are doing 55 in a 50 is that a ticket?

One of my college roommates flew into Phoenix today and drove out to my home to visit. His first comment to me was "What's with all these photo radar cameras?"

I'm sure if you live close to a metro area that you have thought the same thing. Photo traffic enforcement cameras seem to be popping up all over as it is a quick and effective way for city and state governments to add an infusion of cash into their cash strapped budgets on the backs of motorists.

So it comes as no surprise that there has been several new business start ups over the past several months offering devices to outwit the photo enforcement cameras. As an example, during this year's Consumer Electronic Trade show last month I bumped into one manufacture based in China who was hawking counterfeit Escort and Beltronics products.

Also during the CES show, the Vice President of sales for the GPS Angel tried to arrange a demonstration of their new V4e Red Light/Speed Camera Warning System that retails for under $100.00. However, because of my hectic schedule, I asked him to send me a sample for a review on my Radar Roy Blog.

Last week we received his V4e and we took it along for a 200 mile drive around the Phoenix Metro area. I wish I could tell you that I was impressed with the unit, but I can't. The database was filled with inaccurate data of cameras that never existed or were decommissioned months prior and also had several speed and red light cameras missing.

Nice I have been pulled for running a Europlate on the back before, got off with no ticket though, but I have gotten a ticket for a clear plate cover one time too, that cop was the worst.
