    YES, the antenna is switched on. And I am willing to struggle through with ubuntu, it just seems wierd that wifi all of a sudden stopped working after is was good for about a month. I need wifi.
    1) 2007 Candy white MKV GTI. DSG, votex kit, 19" Privat netz, tinted tails, smoked side markers & mirror signals, 20% tint, TT stubby, APR sport 3" turbo back exhaust, ABD stage 2 cold air intake. GONE.
    2) 1993 Green Corrado VR6. ABD intake. FK Silverline coils, Zimmerman cross drilled & slotted rotors. GONE.

      The thing about Ubuntu is that if you know a decent amount of unix/linux it is as good as any other O/S (simplicity-wise)....if not, its a pain in the ass, unless you're willing to struggle through.
      DOS and *nix commands are in no way similar. Ubuntu is probably one of the easiest distros to use. If you are new, grab a few ebooks and find a few ubuntu help guides/forums and bookmark them, make sure you install a GUI and not just command line but you probably got that part. It is only a struggle through if you do not apply yourself, once you learn your way around the system and are starting to get the hang of it, it will allow you to have more control over your system than any windows user.

        the commands are completely different, sure... but Im talking about being familiar with going through file systems using commands rather than clicks. Its a different way of thinking, really

        and yeah, ubuntu is pretty simplistic once you get working on the GUI...and its a pretty badass one too if you have a good enough graphics card :P
