This would be why we all said don't even try without the lift...

^Werd to that. No point in breaking your back for nothing when there are tools to make the job easier. With the lift you will be done in no time. Post some pics when you're done. Always fun to watch a build-up .

Make sure you use drywall screw attachments for drills, they will stop the screws from breaking the paper (the screws loose most of the strength if they break the paper). You should also get a 4' drywall T to cut the drywall. If you read up how to use it properly it will save you a ton of time.
As for tire hanger you might want to look into what you want to do before you put the drywall up as you are likely going to have to put some heavy cross braces in the wall.

ya brent i have the T square already.. worked like a charm so far..

the studs are pretty decent already so i don't think i need any T braces but maybe

Cross bracing will help out a lot as it is not likely anything heavy you plan to hang will line up with the studs. I plan to put a cross brace all the way around my garage at the same height. A friend of mine did his that way and it works like a charm.

I used 5/8 plywood on all my walls instead of drywall that way I can hang stuff everywhere. It works great for me.
