    Re: P.0

Depends on what system software it has. What kind of drive? I'm too lazy to look up specs, but if you can get the system DVDs, you can reinstall it and start from fresh. Put in the media, reboot, and hold down 'c' while booting to load from the Cd / DVD.

          Re: P.0

Why the hell did you buy something so old? What are you planning to use it for? I doubt that you can even install OSX on it!

If you have system cds as Jeff suggested you can easily get around the password. I may have disk images of the old system cds if you're stuck. Let me know.

            Re: P.0

Post more information about the computer and doubtless someone can help you both get the password reset as well as get a power cord.

If it is an original iBook (looks like a giant seashell) then it probably runs OS9. You will need a copy of the OS9 installation CD to boot from that and then you can reset the password. Someone can probably give/copy you the CD if you ask.

Note that the original iBooks are really really really slow today. I think something like 100mhz G3 processors. To compare, this is probably something like 1/8th the power of a modern cell phone. Enjoy!

It was supposed to be turned into a scan tool and i heard they are supposed to be super reliable.
i've already gone thru a Toshiba and Dell.
doesn't need much HP to run with what i'am going to run.
I'll find out Monday what it is Running.
              Thanks for all your input.
              Free scans for everybody.
