  • Need some help from iPhone guru's..

So, I wasn't thinking at the time and updated my iPhone to firmware 2.1 and now I'm locked out I have tried nearly everything that I could find on google and the net to get my iPhone unlocked, but nothing is working. Can anybody help me unlock this thing??

As long as he doesn't mind showing me how it's done so that I can unlock it in the future if needed.

Hi, so this is a first gen iphone that needs unlocking to work on rogers? If so check these links out. Super easy:

        Mac instructions:

        Windows instructions:

Thanks for the links. I have tried that process several times and so far can't get past the "Browse for Firmware" screen. So far, I am lead to believe that the firmware on my iPhone is the wrong one and so I need to get the phone back into the DFU mode to restore it with the newer version (2.1) and then from there I should be able to complete the quickpwn program.

The problem I'm having is the darn thing won't go into the DFU mode for the life of me. Any ideas??

hhmmm. so are you using windows? Maybe instead of trying quickpwn you could try a full pwnage:
