it was a great day lol.
stabbing 1 block west of me and 17th ave blocked i think he died not sure thou.

cops comb my lot and happen to find a hash bong and 9 needles which i reported to 911 the previous week and nobody came out but my call was on file.

talking to the cops i mention,i think it's time for a kevlar t-shirt!
response which blew me away was it's illegal to own one, considered a con-sealed weapon and you can be charged.

then the fire truck shows up blocks my parking lot and removes the debri.

then coincedentally bylaw shows up an hour later and gives me a 14 day notice to clean all the hobo **** and bags and old bicycles kicking around on the side of my building which i have know idea whats even back there.

but they did have somebody come and clean the graffiti off the side of the building and to be honest it was a work of art.
    all this in one day.

oh and apparently your not supposed to have expired propane tanks on your lot by the scrap metal bin.
i thought Calgary was turning green and i said my customer dropped it off for the scrap guy for recycling ...wrong 14 days or a fine.

i wasted 2 hrs of my life today that i will never get back and a customer that was pissed because i could'nt finish his car.

anybody else with an Oct 6th story because misery loves company.
And then they wonder why we have the highest liquor sales in the country.

That's just insane! It's not like you are even in a bad location, busy road, lots of traffic. At least you didn't get a ticket for fires in the parking lot

Well I live just a couple blocks away from your shop Paul and I have to say things are getting out of control in this area. The drugs and prostitution on 15th Ave are so frequent I cannot come and go from my building without seeing a shady dealing going on, and the Police presence seems nearly non existent. It seems they are so focused on getting the gang leaders off the street that the every day dealer has free reign. Now I will say for the most part I do not feel threatened but I think we need to get things under control as this city is getting buried under a mountain of bad habits and soon we will not be able to get out from under it.

I drive thru that intesection every morning around 6:20. I saw the guy just after the EMS showed up. He looked to be in rough shape. Cops made me turn around after I drove up close to the scene. He was just starting to put up the yellow tape around the intersection.

Unfortunately prostitution and drug deals will continue as long as the people with money keep paying for sex and drugs. Most of the people buying the drugs and sex are middle class white people so it does not get as much attention from CPS as it should (although many will argue that it is never white people who perpetuate this kind of thing). The fact that all this is going on usually is very busy areas (especially around bars, clubs, etc) is no coincidence...there is money there. We can't get rid of this crime until we stop partaking in it.

I guess the point is, it only exists because society continues to create a market for it. When I say "we" I am not referring to anyone in particular but rather society at large.

That is well said, most of the people I see are blue collar middle aged men in pick-up trucks who use the services of the street. And yes I think a sad state of this city is this stuff has almost become acceptable, no one seems to bat an eye and that scares me. Did I also mention no matter when or what she is wearing my wife cannot walk from our building to Stampede station with out being followed by people thinking she is a hooker.

At least the feds lowered the interest rates so you guys can borrow more money cheaper to buy in low
