You need 2.5 - 3 hours to tell a good story 1.5-2 hours is a made for tv movie for people who aren't interested in anything more than **** blowing up.

You actually don't need more than an hour to tell a good story, it all comes down to how you tell the story. If you want a four hour epic, yeah you'll need it all. If you want a good story that's unique and interesting you can get it done in an hour.

Last movie though was Coraline, what a well crafted movie.

you can tell an interesting story in a short time but not a really good good story.

like i said i liked surrogates but they could have expanded it and added another 45min to make it a good movie with some depth.

I have a 13 hour German mini series I have to start watching, if you want long!

Saw Law Abiding Citizen as well and really enjoyed it except for the ending they kinda cheaped out.
