Hey everyone,

I just wanted to ask everyone if they know anyone reliable and hardworking looking for a job at my company. I need someone who will mainly be working in the shop but they must have the drive and skills to learn every aspect of what I do from the labour end of things to the sales and management end of things as well.

I would prefer some experience, but if I met someone who I thought had the right skill set and an aptitude for doing what I do I would definitely consider a stone cold rookie...

What's the compensation like? I guess it depends on experience and if he/she needs to get the lotion out on occasion or not....

It very much depends on experience... A stone cold rookie isn't going to be paid very much to start but in 3 months if he pulls it off I will give them 15'ish and hour. If someone had some real expeirence and can actually bring something to the table other than just a body and can generate profit over and beyond typical shop stuff, tireperson/salespersons can make serious money. It takes some time and proven skills and a proven client base, but I know guys who make more money than good journeyman trade techs. I personally am looking for someone who doesn't already think they know everything because quite honestly, I need someone who can learn my way rather than thinking they always know a better way and then I gotta beat out their bad habits... LOL! Oh my... I'm really not the a$$hole I may sound like now... lol!

All this may be for nothing right now though as I think I may have found a good kid. A little green but has the right attitude and seems pretty sharp. I'm lucky because someone who worked for me for quite a while is gonna come help me out during the winter rush so I am able to train up someone new while having real experience in the shop at the same time...
