Here is my issue, the vig tends to run on the warmer side of things (the fan runs about 80% of the time i drive) and thats basically how it was designed! my problem is when im stuck in traffic and there is no air moving the engine bay becomes a furnace, aside from cutting holes in my hood are there any alternatives?

Re: going back to the cooler!
How about explaining what the hell you are talking about
maybe some more info on the car and engine are in order.
If you are having overheating problems though it might be time for a coolant flush.Name: Brent

Re: going back to the cooler!
haha sorry, my car is a 2000 saab viggen that has a 2.3L turbocharged engine and a giant stock FMIC. the problem im having is the heat from my engine is warming up everything so much that any time i stop at a light or get caught in traffic the performance starts to decrease. I have talked to a tech at the dealership and he said that saabs are meant to run at a specific temp and have been engineered to keep themselves there. I went ahead and did a coolant flush myself and nothing has changed. should i be looking into wrapping the exhaust manifold and downpipe? new IC, some sort of vented hood?
