  • Concept 1 Bulbs?

I picked up a pair quite a while back and my passenger side just died, fair enough. But also i noticed when i turned on my highbeam on the driver side the light just turned off, so i investgated.

what i found was that my whole harness that the bulb plugs into had melted and the only reason the light was still working was the connectors were just stuck on to the prongs on the bulb.

So jsut to warn everyone if you purchased a set of bulbs that look like this:

You might want to check your sockets before its too late.

Note: Mine were 9007 12v 65/55w and i dont know if any others are affected.

seems a lot of those bulbs are known for melting harnesses. i have stuck to Sylvannia/GE and more OEM type stuff because of that.

Is C1's name on the package? or is that just a logo overlay?

I had these bulbs for a while, I won them at a C1 customer appreciation BBQ years ago, I had some trouble with them too, but nothing as major. They just seemed cheap and got too hot.

I was there one day when they were putting their own label on these bulbs that were some chinese knockoff brand.
