Re: Day to day digital camera...
I just picked up an Olympus 850 myself from the states...its 100 bucks cheaper down there than from Best Buy. Rugged, takes good pics (and I'm a horrible camera man, so the image stabilization on my heli tour did wonders).
The mrs. picked up a Sony...the 10 megapixel one with the 15x zoom down there for like 300...I'm not allowed to touch it because I break stuff....hence why I got the durable Olympus...
And, the waterproofing is legit, my friends took one down to barbados over easter and snorkelled with sea turtles and took video of it using the Olympus...
