sorry, not the usual thread we have going here but from what some of you gents drive and the watches you wear, you might be the best candidates for this thread. Here it comes, where is the best place, from personal experience to buy clothing? personally im a fan of shirts from mexx, typically long sleeve button ups and sweaters! im interested im buying some "dressish" pants, something along the lines of khakis but im not entirely sure! basically, to anyone with a sense of style, if your going out and must look swell, what do you typically wear? I have absolutely ZERO style! seing as im growing up, gota look good for the girlfriend and dont want her help, im turning to you!

jeans and a tee. But nice ones. Spend some decent money on a nice pair of jeans, that fit well for your style, and a decent fitting t and you will look like a million bucks. Overdressing in my opinion looks like you are trying to hard. Girls aren't to stoked on the nancy boys like they were 5 years ago. As long as someone doesn't look ratty it works. I have a set of black cords for the dress up situations, but rarely neccesary.

        Re: style

I always get diesel. I have loved them ever since I was in high school, and a little brand whore, but now I love them because they fit and last forever. Stretch denim rules, because you can look well dressed and feel like you are in a pair of sweats. I have only ever had 1 pair really rip to the point that they looked bad, and that was after 4 years of favorite jeans duty. WE/JL denim (higher end skate clothing brand) makes awesome jeans as well. Stretch denim again is the way to go with them. Diesel stuff is usually stupidly expensive, but it always goes on sale and you can find a ton of nice stuff for around 130-150 bucks a pair. Just don't get drawn in by some of the flashier fits and washes, as you will get home and be like "Oh **** why did I buy this?"

Personally I find the shopping in Calgary is fairly lacking so I try and save my shopping for when I go away. However, I have gotten several pairs of dress pants from Mexx over the years which have been good. I also buy most of my dress shirts from Zara, find they have the best quality and priced shirts for every day, but if you want to step it up I think Harry Rosen is the best menswear place in town, I have picked up a few suits from there but higher end brands.

I do wear jeans and Polo's a lot too after work and I have been wearing a pair of selvedge (raw) Nudie (not super slim) which I have been working well as you are not supposed to wash them for at least 6 months.

I'm a sportbike afficianado aswell as a vag lover, and I had a buddy lowside his bike on an offramp wearing diesel jeans and they didn't even tear or rip, and I've seen guys crash in regular jeans and they shread like paper pants. Diesel all the way.

Ohh, lifetime has awesome stuff too, and its hella cheap. And thats pretty damn crazy about the guy laying his bike down and having some diesels last through it.
