  • Road line painting

Thought this was kinda funny. All the time spent to put up cones and divert (and hold up) traffic, and here's the fine work that's done as a result

        Wow.

        Perfect pic for a "FAIL"

People should start a collection of stuff like this and send it to the media. The other one I'm thinking of is on CVD (maybe here also) where there was a huge sink hole that kept getting bigger and bigger and they just kept putting more cones around (and in) it.

That actually looks like a contractor. Most of that type of stuff is not done in house by the City anymore.

If its a contractor then the City as the payer should demand better quality work than that....its just plain laziness.

be carefull when you come across those line painters, i was in a rental car last month in FtMc n overtook a painter, the spray from the paint got on the side of the car and wasnt going to come off for anything.

Didnt care mind, company covered rental so what the hell.

                  Re: Road line painting

hah.. i can one up that. one blew a tire just over the crest of a hill in front of coming back from edmonton. Lost most of his paint. Looks like he was in the left lane and swerved over to the right when it blew, cause there was a thick splash of paint from left to right across both lanes. With a little maneuvering, I got away with just the inside of my wheel wells and mudflaps yellow'd. Lots of guys behind me drove right through it though. What a mess!

I think some of the paint splotch is still there on the road.

Was this one the #2? If so I know EXACTLY where you are talking about.
There is just a yellow trail from the left lane all the way down the hill to the shoulder. So classic
