I have to agree with Kris, that trim looks disgusting and cheap. If you go MK3, then I hope you shave it and get an interesting and original paint job. mk3's can look amazing.

because the 6gs he buys a mk3 for can easily be gotten back before he drops 50 for a 330ci

Well, lots of chit chat here So there is a few factors here, first I do not like driving the 337 in winter but I do not want a beater so I started looking for new cars. However very quickly my prospective new car payments became higher then my mortgage payment so I decided to do a little re-evaluation.

So now I have decided to try and make some money instead of spending it, so I am investing in some properties with the money I have in the 337. I also do have a lot of love for MK3s so this will make me happy, and I look forward to modding again. There is also not many MK3s that go for 6grand, the last GTI VR6s (98-99) still go for upwards of 18grand :donking:

then why would you sell your 337 for 30g, and buy a mk3 for high teens and put the rest in mods?

is it because you want to mod slowly and invest the initial profit of selling the 337? or because you want a car you can drive all year round?

What is deterring you from driving your 337 in the winter? Is it because it is sorta rare? I am pretty sure that whoever buys it from you will do it, so unless you feel some sort of guilt for exposing special edition GTIs to winter conditions i am stumped:mrlaugh:

I understand the notion that the car will probably be driven in winter, but I of course would need to get some snow tires and wheels if I was to keep it.

I am not putting all the money into the mk3. I am selling the car for 30, putting 15 into the mk3 and 15 to other investments. Modding will just be a gradual thing as I have money to spare, also modding an mk3 is way way cheaper The winter thing is not a huge factor but a reason why this is happening now and not later.

Plus I am getting the urge to mod and there is not much I would like to do to the 337 so I am looking forward to a blank slate.
