rare cars

ive seen alot of VW's, audis and BMW's once and then never seen them again.... for instance, i know there are more 911's and Bently GT's in calgary then there are viggen's! is there a way of determining how many cars of a certain make are registered in calgary?

ide be up for anyone to post stories or info about cars that are alot more rare than they seem: GLi's, 337's, 20th's, i could use some info as to different rare audi's and BMW's...

My dad has a rare old Mercedes. A 69 300 SEL 6.3. I've never seen one on the road before. Only 6,526 were made between 68-72.

I had a 337 new, was one of 8 I think delivered into the city originally, I think a few more have come in over the years. I waited for about 6 months for it, had it a year and sold it. Before that I had a 2001 Golf GLS 1.8T, also not a super common car, but it was an auto why I got rid of that one.

Obviously my Dad has an R8, I think one of 3 white ones in town (1 came from a broker not a dealer) and I think there will be about 14 of them delivered in Calgary through 2009.

My old man also has an old '63 Mercedes 190 SL. Don't see them too often but I dont think it's a rare car in terms of production numbers.

I have a Silver Audi S4 and there are 63 of them in this car club alone but there is a rumor that other colors of the car exist if that rumor is true that car would be super rare.

I seem to remember when I bought my GLI that there were something like 250 in Canada, and only 38 in Blue Lagoon.

On a more serious note the old man has a Ford Cosworth powered Magnum Chassis Formula Atlantic car 1 of 2 ever made. Not something you will see on the street but rare none the less.

Not many BMW M-coupes in Calgary, I would say that is a rare car.

Rare Audis are probably older, Audi Quattro Coupe for example!

Rare VW would have to be something like a Bus, Beetle, or Ghia

Although I don't see that many Eos around town

Have never seen any of the Porsche Carerra GT's around although I hear there are still 2-3 in town. Never seen a 997GT2 yet.

Both were track monsters in their day.

Another euro jem that most people over look (or dont' know about) is the Mercedes Benz 190E Evo. Such a sexy car and extremely rare.
