locked my only key in, sorta, any help?

So i was gonna paint my rearview, so i took it off but then remembered that i wanted to take pics before any paint. So i got back in my car(2003 jetta), put the rearview back on, and got out with the camera. The door swung shut, not all the way, like that intermediate latch, and the automatic lock engaged... so the door is sorta open any my only key is in there anything i can do? Im broke as a joke because of tuition and do not want to pay hundreds for a locksmith

i got it open!!! i used a long wire, went from the driver door, all the way across, and 3 hours later, hooked onto the passenger side handle and opened the car!




the wire i used, compared to m size 12 shoe, maybe 11, its an old shoe

With the money you saved by not getting a locksmith....buy another key!!

its no biggy, i bet there are plenty of peeps on here done it and have seen AMA fix it enough times that they could have helped out if it had been a problem. We dont normally post how to's on here to avoid teaching idiots how to steal from cars.
