I am also thinking of a non S version of the Mini clubman now too, not so much for gas prices (Non S does get close to 40mpg though) but also the $5,000 lower purchase price.

That's pretty impressive.

On another note just call it a bad habit. Some people smoke, other drink and then some of us just love to burn the oil!

Every once and a while the price of gas makes me re-consider buying a GTI to save a bit of money. Not only would the car be cheaper the gas would probably be way cheaper.. when I had my 2.0T jetta I was averaging 450km on about a 45L fill, now I average the same in this car.. except on a 57-58L fill. Doesn't seem like much... except that I get a full tank of gas on average 6 times a month.

usually costs me 60-70....

Wow I guess I get off lucky.
I fill up at fas Gas usually. I always run 91 octane.
I very rarely let the car drop below a quarter tank though.

I remember Hay River had regular gas over a buck a good year before we saw it get that high in Alberta, and Yk is even more expensive, especially when the Ferry is out.
