I'd wager my 5.0NA 351 could give the chipped 2.7t a run for its money..

..cept it costs me like $6 every time I open the throttle on that pig

haha yeah thats pretty similar to what the 'stang gets. Highway conserative driving is MAYBE 300, 200 is a regular city tank.

Im going to tune it up this spring and loose the dampeners in both exhausts to get that power back (which means dual 3inch straight pipes...sans cat hahah) Beast is gonna wake up children in Red Deer when i start it

edit: Kinda looks like this, but dark blue...same wheels, less chrome accents (removed em a couple years back)..Think i may go for a ride tonight if its not too crappy so ill post some real pic's eventually

Nice James, would be a fun toy for sure. My wife has an old Stang too, but it is just sitting in her Mom's garage and needing a re-store but it has huge sentimental value so I am sure we will get to it one day, and maybe the Celica Supra and Camaro too.

Yeah...I wont even pretend to take any responsibility to what's been done to that car. It was given to me as is and im just starting to read about the classics now..

My dad bought this car in red deer about 10 or 11 years ago now....looking at his reciepts it appears he's put nearly 80k into the damn thing (granted that 2 paint jobs and 2 engines..Woops, i lit it on fire abour 5 years ago when it had a 302 boss in it ahha)

            Future plans include: Stereo...POSSIBLY tint..

thats all for this year haha. Interior is mint, but baby blue..id like to go black but dont want to mess with a good thing.

only bad part is its an auto, may look at putting in a 6spd SVT tranny at some point but..i dont wanna dump a ton of cash into this car, its already too clean

Sweet deal. Just tell her you need stage 3 to survive, the very breath of life depends on it. If all else fails, drop to your knees and beg

EDIT: Scratch that. Just tell her as long as you bring home the paycheck, you'll do whatever the EFF you want with the money. Then you can use the honeymoon money for mods since you sure as hell won't be going anymore haha

real? haha shows what I know
In truth, Ive driven the car once, maybe twice, since it got the 351 in it.

the 302 boss HO was putting out pretty close to the HP the cl is (boss was dynoed at ~330whp ~360wtq..havent got the cl dynoed yet but will likely do that this spring after i bring er in for a tune up)..302 had a LOT more work done to it tho!

shoulda kept the 302 in it. Unless the 351 is a windsor and you plan to build it up.

Sweet car nonetheless. You should bring it to a meet.

My neighbor has a awesome 63ish fairlane with the original 289 in it and he also just bought (for his wife) a mint fully done up 69 camaro with 427 that has been worked over. Has about 450whp. Can't wait to go for a ride.

                          wow, talk about off topic.

What are the differences between the CL adn the Windsor? I was looking at some specs the other night and they seem to be pretty much the same; pistons fire in the same order, same weight, displacement etc..?

and the car woulda kept the 302 had i not lit it on fire back in 05 haha

edit: mmm just found an article comparing the CL to the windsor..Ive got a feeling it IS a windsor in there (never talked to my pops about it, just assumed cl for some reason)..I dont see why he would have stepped away from the 289/302 path (car origonally had the 289, ripped that out for a 302, logical next step is windsor haha)..Ill take a poke around this weekend

here's a more on topic question.

I've done a little physics, but is the coefficient of drag the same as the coefficent of friction which you use in physics? I would assume so.....

No, the coefficient of friction has to do with the surface to surface interaction, and the coefficient of drag has to do with the aerodynamics of the object. Also involved here is the density of the air (altitude).
