I'm glad someone has a clue
Go run some 395/40/17s at 5psi...... the same thing will happen. Go spread your anti stretch propaganda somewhere else.

      GINCH/Derek, sure thing man!

the car is slowly making its way back on the street and i cant hardly wait. seeing some nice cars on the street really gave motivation to pull the black gti out of storage and get it ready for some srping fun

I think those look hot. And I said there's perf benefits for doing it to a point.

But when the tire doesn't even reach the outer lip, that's where you've gone beyond stretching into "my tire doesn't fit at all".

The Black GTI you posted above has more stretch than I have. Its just the type of tires that give it a different look.

I too am not a fan of the stretched look. I just don't like how it looks like there is a gap between the lip and the tire. I think the last pics Geoff posted are moer to my liking as there is no major gap. Now a better question is where did that JTI get those nice arch covers.

Those textured flares are from Japan and are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Mine is very minimal. 255/35 on a 9.5 (et30). Rubs like crazy when carrying anything in the trunk (ie: groceries), or just 1 passenger...but that's life

and from the side...tire is pulled back a bit as you can see.

                    I've seen 225/40 on a 10 before. Never 10.5 though. Wow.

Ppl with S13's run some craaaaaaaaazy stupid sizes as well.
