I really starting to think i should get a bike now. Tax return wouldn't cover it, but it could go toward it. I was at Bow Cycle yesterday, and got a little excited. Anyone here mountain bike much?
Tons of options, just pick a dollar ballpark and see what you can get. I'd guestimate 1000-1500 for a good hardtail, add 500 if you want full susp. 750-1000 will get you something decent especially if you pick up a last year special.
Everybody wastes their money, that's why its my money, Besides the car will eventually be the wifes and I don't need her having 250+HP under her foot. The liter bike is for going fast.
