Supposedly in this month's "Redline" magazine they have an interview with a Nissan "whistle blower" who says that the GT-R that set the record-breaking Nurburgring time of 7:38 actually was not stock as-sold in dealerships. Not sure about the actual article, if anyone hears more about this maybe they can post it here.
Also there are a few stories starting to come out of people who have taken the GT-R on the 'ring and not been able to beat a best-time of around 8:00 flat.
