Yes, I feel for those of you who have to work or be near outside today. Finally, there's a benefit to the cubicle farm!
On a related note, I'll report the first cold-weather casualty. Headlight bulb chose this morning to burn out. Don't know if it's cold related, doubt it, but it's not getting fixed until the weekend at least now.

My car will never get close to 90 in this weather, it is damn cold. After being in heated underground parking all night and driving for 15+ minutes I was barely at 40. Will be starting it up at lunch for sure today

Had the coolant heater running for 3.5 hours, took 4 tries to get my car to fire, but it cranked hard all along. When I got to work, got out to open the door to pull it inside, got back in and the drivers door light stayed on though... This may not end well if the Vortex is right.

Don't worry more then likely a frozen micro switch. Not super hard to replace if you have to anyways.
Wifes car wouldn't start this morning, mine started but it was in the garage (unheated and uninsulated though).

even last winter when it was -35 or whatever that one week i had my car parked outside overnight at my parents and it started 1st go without being plugged in.. i guess synthetic oil helps?
