UofC C league is your best bet. Tho try and get out on the rinks for shinny it is the best way to kinda learn how to play in a rec environment. Get to a half decent level at shooting, skating and passing on the rink and then join a team. Otherwise, and no offense, you just end up frustrating teammates and no one has fun then

LOL well I don't call $200 for a new set of gloves every year cheap. you get to wear more padding though, but your object of scorification is way harder
Hey Stonewall? What gloves are you using?
I use Uhlsport Aquas.. (no fingersavers - those are for wimps lol)
Where are you buying your gloves from? My team comp's mine, and my manager orders my gloves online off of eBay.. for $80/pr.. ive seen them in town for $170 tho.. barf..
Also for hockey, anyone play in the NCHL? I'm in that.. it's fun.. but apparently we're paying more than the avg...
Why doesn't anyone make any vinyl overlays for hockey helmets? I bet they could make some decent money making custom fit ones.
As for soccer I haven't been able to play for over 3 years due to injuries. I have been using fingersavers as you call them since they came out over 10 years ago. I have fairly large hands so I fractured almost ever finger joint when younger and those gloves have stopped almost every finger injury after I started using them.
I played a ton of ball hockey when I was younger, should have played more ice hockey :(

I had no idea there were so many fellow HNA'ers on here...I put a team together with some buddies a couple years ago...we're the Moose in Div2. If we ever need a last minute tender, are any of you guys interested?
Yeah I can't be more happy and for that price it is an unreal deal, should have it Monday afternoon and I will be sure to take more pictures after the clear coat is done. There is a backplate to the mask that has also been painted but he is not sending any pictures of that because i guess it is sweet and he wants me to see it in person.
There are also a few things that don't show in his pictures, there is hundreds of little maple leafs all over the background of the mask between the gears. So there is a lot of fine detail in the mask
