    Re: Goalie Mask

Yeah for the amount of time this guy spends on your mask it is a great deal, the customer service has been great! I more or less gave him my ideas and a few pictures and he came up with it.

That is sweet, I can't wait to see what the colours are going to be like. I really should have played hockey when I was younger; soccer goalies don't get to wear as cool equipment.
PS. Come get your LED's before I use them all to do my van

Well.. to be honest my team sucks... but I think its pretty good. There are something like 6 divisions.. and we are in the second bottom... Its tough when I am a fairly new addition, and getting amd at the old guys for not trying hard enough.. ah well!
              Thanks for the contact info.

LOL well I don't call $200 for a new set of gloves every year cheap. you get to wear more padding though, but your object of scorification is way harder

What are those? I cant really tell.. I went with a set of TPS R8's this year and love them... my choice was between those and a set of Smith'sbut didnt feel like waiting for the custom route.

Where do you get your gear? Absolutely EVERYTHING I get is from out East... Ward and Patch/Goalie Crease. The Cost of my pads here is the cost of my pads/blcoker/glove from them!!

It is a custom set of Battram pads from out east, I don't even know if anyone is making any equipment out west. The guy that is doing my mask is from out east as well.

I have been looking at a lot of pads from Vaughn Epic 8000's, McKenney 755/855, Eagle and RBKs but after reading some reviews and seeing some pictures I though I would give the Battram pads a try. Should be cool as you can get a full custom set from him, and the quality of the pad looks great!

Check out the HNA (link), I know they do have a beginner league where they will help you get some of the basics down and you play some games between other beginners. Also the U of C has some good programs from adults starting out.

Nice! I havent seen any Battram equipment only looked at pictures.

The Smith's I looked at were custom as well... just couldnt wait two months+ for them. He is the guy that designed the Naughn Velo 1 series.. then went and made his own company. I have heard nothing but great thigns about his gear.
