  • New Wheels?

Well after talking to my dad, and getting him really interested in soem HRE wheels (he wants 19's or 20's) I came up with the idea of taking his 18" AMG's (he has two sets) and throwing them on my car....and to my suprise...he said "sure, not a bad idea at all!"
So I am sure after this coming winter I will be rocking some AMG wheels. Just wanted to share the excitement with the rest of yall :yahhh: :mrpimp:

they'll only fit if they're 5x100. no wider then 8". i'm pretty sure the rears on that car is more than 225 or 235 for that matter. so i doubt they will work. its probably a 275 or 295 that car has for rears.

Mercedes wheels only fit cars with a 5x112 bolt pattern. All MK4 Volkswagens are 5x100. Unless you get wheel adaptors.

          Too bad. Too sad.

Not 295 wide. I'm doing research. As far as I know... you can't really do this...

Oh ok thanks...but what do these numbers mean? I have seen AMG's on some Dubs before, so what kind've work do you think is involved. Free wheels are always a plus, especially when they will look uber!

Sorry man... no go for you. You are going to be destroying your inside fender wells on all four wheels with these wheels.

You will need new tires anyway, so do not worry about the 265 stuff. It really depends on the offset but there are lots of people running 9" and 10" wide rims on the rear of MK4s and even a guy running 9.5 up front. You will need adapters but this may also help with the offset. You need to find the details on Mercedes to VW adapters and sizes, it has been done before so I think it is possible. There is a guy in VanCity running CLK 500 wheels so that will not be too far off.

Really you should just get some HREs too!!!!
