Anybody know what the fine for obscuring your plate is?
Re: Anybody know what the fine for obscuring your plate is?
just go get the ones that are clear but dont distort. When the camera tries to take a picture the entire surface reflects back and halos instead of the red and white being 2 distinct colors. An easy way to test this is to simply try and take a pic of your license plate with a piece of lexan or clear plastic. You will get the same desired effects without the completely illegal part.

i'll get you the pic from that farmer that drives his truck.
it's amazing i'll try and make one,or wait till he comes in again it
blocks one number or letter depending what angle the camera is set at.
oh and remember the dealer plate covers if it blocks your sticker that is a fine as well.

I have been busted using a cover plate that erases the plate when you look at it from an angle. Stoopid cop pulled up behind me at a light. I turned the corner and he noticed it. Hundred and some dollar fine. HE took my plate cover as well. I am sure he is using it on his vehicle right now. LOL. I have not seen a plate cover that looks natural enough not to get caught. Big and bulky.
yeah, you might as well just put your plate on backwards. the fine would probably be the same, but a camera sure wont catch the numbers
How would it not? There is indents from the letters/numbers on the back. haha
Ive seen a person with one of those reflective covers and it seemed to work really well. I noticed a few times that it was nearly impossible to see the numbers/letters in broad daylight with just the sun reflecting off of it.

I have a friend with the clear spray, and he sats that works well... and its not as noticeable as a large pastic cover... its basically a permenent clear cost..I think its like $30 a can.. and does four plates.
