I am not up on my weed eating but isnt the milk from dandilions poision? I guess if you start off little by little you can eventually be immune to it. Like they do with snake poison!. LOL.

I have to agree. Starting off with small, easy digerstible foods for breakfast is best when you are not used to eating it. I battle terrible nausea when I eat first thing and I think its due to what I would eat.

      A recipe section......

Sounds great. I love to cook. Then again my family does Company's Coming cookbooks. So I have lots of recipes.

Re: Supplements? Any sports gurus here?

I've been going to the gym steady for almost two weeks. I've lost 6 lbs so far and feel great. I was a little sore after the first week but I'm starting to get used to the routine. After the gym I get to work and have a small breakfast consisting of three tablespoons of cottage cheese, three tablespoons of low fat yogurt and topped off with granola. I am trying to watch what I eat, I guess my metabolisum is starting to fire up I have to snack constantly on stuff during the day. I usually bring plain veggies to snack on. I eat a can of tuna or salmon for lunch and then continue to snack on veggies and drink lots of water until I go home for dinner.

I did some research on the internet and got some training tips from Colin. Here's what I'm doing and what I plan to do when the month is up.

I start every damn near every workout with cardio, its a good warmup.
I usually do abs about 3 times a week alternating with regular crunches, leg raises, and laying bicycles. I usually put the hand wraps on after every workout and hit the heavy bag with four count jabs and some jumping knees blows. Then go heavy on some left and right hooks. My gym has a heavy bag laying under the stairs where I workout so I drag that out and then I go heavy on some ground and pound and elbow drops. I run the stairs too and throw in some shadow boxing.

                  Now for the fun part...Weights.
I usually do 2 groups together (ex. biceps-triceps, shoulders-back, and then do chest and legs seperately)
Then about a month in, I plan to do biceps-back, triceps-shoulders together and alternate like that so the workouts dont get stale.
I will start with chest...all the exercises are 3 sets, with about 8-10 repetitions per set
***the slower you do each exercise the better***

                  workout 1- chest
                  flat bench press
                  incline bench press
                  dumbell flys
                  finish with pushups (to failure)

                  workout 2-chest
                  flat bench with dumbells
                  incline bench press with dumbells
                  peck deck machine

                  workout 1-legs
                  squats
                  legs extension machine
                  leg curl machine
                  calf raise machine

                  workout 2-legs
                  leg press machine
lunges with dumbells by your side
                  leg curls and extensions again

                  workout 1-arms
seated dumbell curls (for the girls if you know what im saying)
flat bar standing curls (elbows by your side and squeezing at the top)
***this should warm up your arms pretty good, and the empahsis on workout 1 is triceps, workout to will emphasize biceps
                  tricep pulldowns
skull crushers-flat bar while laying on your back on a bench, hold bar above head, keeping your elbows pretty much locked, slowly lower bar towards your forehead and press it back up, make sure you dont drop it on your head though)
                  close handed pushups to finish

                  workout 2-arms
dips (start with 2 benches about 4 feet apart, put your heels on one of the benches, and your hands below your butt on the other one, and raise and lower yourself)
                  tricep pull downs
                  standing alternating bicep curls
                  preacher curls
                  concentration curls

                    a workout schedule

yea, for workout music, you basically need hard-hitting euro-dance music.... nothing else does the job

really. Search around on iTunes for "euro club hits" or check this link:

Do you take extra Vitamin C with your protein compunds? it may be in there already perhaps. Vit C is used by the body to absorb protein from foddstuffs been shown to increase absorption if taken above recommended daily dose but i ain t no doc so dont blame me if you get orange skin

actually that reminds me of some of the girls back home

Re: Supplements? Any sports gurus here?

I am no expert on fitness but over the last several years I have packed on an extra 30 or so pounds.....all in the gut. Jan 1st I decided to do something about it. I am not a big workout guy and I never will be (I know myself). I decided to take a moderate approach and see how I made out after a few months. My goal was to lose 20 pounds by summer. Here is what I did -
                            I stopped drinking all pop/juice.
No more fast foods at all (I used to have them about 2 a month)
Drink more water (I bought a hypercoach bottle that tracks how much you drink which really helped me)
Bought a treadmill and did 30 min 4-5 days per week on the "Weight loss settings)

After 2 months I had not lost any weight at all but I did notice that my belt was now one hole tighter (I think I increased my thigh muscles and lost some gut).

I upped my treadmill to 40 min and try to do it every day....This caused me to loose some weight finally. As of May 1st I am down 16 pounds.

I am posting this here so show that you don't have to have the hours in the gym to loose some weight....just smarten up your eating and do something to get your butt off the couch.

I totally agree, but to get the total package I would suggest to workout your core and upper body to compliment your cardio workouts and eating well.
