  • Car starter won't work after removing battery : (

My winter beater has a polar start car starter (or astro start.....not sure) that no longer works after I replaced the battery.

Do I need to get it re-programmed?
Does anyone here know how to do it?

    Any help would be great.

they are often installed with a disable switch (under the dash?) you can try switching that of and then on again?

ahhh you actually mean the battery in the control not the car battery? Initially I thought you meant the starter motor in the car when youd had the car battery out!

Let me clarify. I replaced the car battery, not the remote battery.

After I replaced the old car battery, my car starter doesnt work anymore. As for the remote control battery, it is working fine because my keyless entry still works fine.

Sounds like your starter is in "valet" mode. Locks work from remote but not the starter.

If you still have the owner's manual for the remote starter, it will explain how to get out of valet mode, otherwise your best bet is to contact the retailer that supplied you with the starter.
