park it.. add gas keeper stuff..

whenever i parked mine that was it.. battery was fine come spring and everything else.. changed he the oil first thing in the spring too

I store a, ahem, Pontiac Firehawk for a friend....just disconnects the battery and puts a cover on it.

my buddy parked his Miata in my garage 3 winters on the run, I just disconnected the battery and that was it. I did put it on charge when i put it back in but the car always started just fine.

All I do is put some extra air in the tires, and every month or so, roll them a little bit (roll the car back a foot, or forward a foot). Never bother with that gas stuff. For the battery, likewise just start it once a month or something, otherwise disconnect it but that will reset everything electrical.

You can buy trickle chargers your just plug into the lighter socket and it keeps the batter up. I need one so if anyone finds a good one, let me know, maybe princess?

could probably put a battery tender on (trickle charger)
fill the gas tank right up, so there isn't any air in there to help rusting
put the car on blocks so you don't need to roll it around

yo man, i'm pretty sure our gas tanks are plastic...

i've parked my golf before for 4-6 months a few times, keep the fuel low, never unplug the battery. it started normally each time. no problems.

I've parked the GTI for 3 winters now and the following is what I do:

a) Clean car thoroughly in and out
b) Put on old wheels and tires. that way it doesn't matter if you get flat spots
c) Change the oil before storing
d) Fill the tank up, add fuel stablizer, let run for 5 minutes before parking
e) Disconnect and remove battery. Keep in a warm dry place.
f) Cover and wait 5 months

I'm not saying this is the best way to do it but its worked for my car for the past 10 winters!!

just change the oil and top up the gastank.

if your really worried put it on blocks.

and if its outside take the battery out, if its garaged dont bother.
