It is very nuts and really there is not much to stop the US$ free fall, especially if China begins selling it off.

If things get around 1.20 I am not sure if I can ignore buying a US car, the deals will be too good to pass.

When I ordered my car the exchange rate was $0.85. Now it seems $1.15 or $1.20 is likely in the near-term. I'm not going to calculate what the price delta is anymore because it just makes me .

I think we'll see CDN interest rates lowered by 25 basis points to try and offset the rampaging CDN dollar. Granted we can't do much about the US dollar falling, but I could see CDN policy makers (considering they're in Ontario where Manufacturing is a larger component of the Economy), try and keep the CDN dollar close to parity.

Well $1.10 is not what you would get as your rate, but duty is only 6% so if you make that up then for sure you have nothing to lose.
