        Re: Nissan GTR photos

After numerous image leaks and some revealing spy photos, Nissan has finally made the debut of its 2009 GT-R sports coupe official. On display at the Tokyo Motor Show this month, the GT-R is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbo V6, good for 473 horsepower and 434 ft-lb of torque.

The only transmission that will be available in the GT-R is a GR6 dual-clutch six-speed. The GT-R's powertrain is reportedly good for a zero to 60 time of 3.5 seconds, a quarter mile time of only 11.7 seconds and a top speed of 192 mph.

Hella fast!! but not so pretty.

On a side note...the nav system shown also doubles as a display unit for all of the cars' vitals, including boost, egt, fuel pressure, etc...oh, and it was developed by the company that makes Flight Simulator lol.

The R34 Skyline also had a screen displaying such information.

This is the car...$70k in U.S. I do not care what people say, but I am hooked on. Any ideas if it will arrive to Canada?

I don't see why not but from what I hear with very limited availability and most already being spoken for don't expect the price to be anywhere around $70k.

                  Re: Nissan GTR photos

Autoblog today said Nissan expects US dealers to be able to charge 15-20% more than list, and that they won't be trying to stop it.

I bet that in Canada this car is 90 grand.

I would say if you do not have a deposit down now you will not be getting one for a while or be paying a huge premium to get one.

This thread back from the dead!

Bringing it back because of this:

                      http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/16/2...iew-road-test/

Supposedly it's been given a pretty thorough once-over for 2012. They say it may finally have some character. But the price is up by $20,000 since the 2009 came out.

It's still ugly. Still got that **** tranny?

                        10/10 I would still get a 911.
