There's organized races every Sunday at RC gears in Calgary (not sure that helps you) and they just hosted a pretty big series there. Blackfoot is also open quite frequently but it's more of a bash session there, there were several buggies out there though. I've got a monster truck that I wouldn't mind trying to race, it would be competitive with the right tune on the motor but I lack the experience right now.

Brent what's wrong with your car? Those are pretty sweet machines, you should get it going. If you're looking at the HPI Baja there's one for sale used. Those things are huge!

i had a tmaxx for about 2 years, it crashed hard into a curb and broke about half the truck. i had to sell it as i didn't have time to drive back and forth to a hobby shop to get parts.

pretty expensive hobby but rewarding if you can keep the truck maintained.
i spent about $1000 and sold it for $200.

Not much that I can remember. I know last time I played with it I bought a bunch of alum parts and a 2speed tranny so I know if I pull it out again it is going ot cost me money lol.

            Re: Nitro RC?

In case there's some RC lurkers, I'll be heading down to blackfoot between work and the meet tomorrow. Should be a bunch of us down there. I have a bunch of spare parts so I should be good for a few crashes

There should be a few nitros and there will be at least one 1/5th scale which is running a 26cc 2-stroke
