Well I worry about rust, which Mk2's are bad at, and Mk3's even not stellar :(

I'm leaning towards

Mk3 Jetta
Volvo 850

steer clear from the volvo. mk3 is a nice winter ride. there are still some nice mk2's out there but i can understand how you don't want a "my other car is a mk2" sticker on your porsche!!
