Spotted - Audi R8

Was on the way home this afternoon and saw an Audi R8, silver and S W E E T. Exited Deerfoot onto Bedington and was headed towards Hidden Valley. We were pretty deep in traffic and I was unable to see the driver, but the car looked V E R Y N I C E. Was torn on the LED looking marker lights on the front but everything else was awesome.

I think Audi Canada reported 23 R8 sales for September for the country.

Still no confirmed time but probably 1st quarter 2008, maybe early second. My Dad hopes for spring so he can actually drive it when it arrives.

And some carbon side blades which can be ordered afterwards since they are hard to get with the car for some reason...

can you get the car with side blades that are the same color as the rest of the car? because i have only seen R8s with different color side blades, and i'm sorry to say it, but... that the only thing I don't like about the R8.

When ordering an R8 you can choose between Oxygen Silver, Body colour or carbon side-blades as options. They all cost extra so we are not sure what happens if you don't choose any of them as the Carbon is not available currently.

I have seen cars with the colour matching and in side profile the car proportions look very long, I much prefer the contrast.

Small picture but you get the idea, looks a little awkward to me

Agreed - side blades are a must. I saw a rad video of a black R8 with carbon blades. Looked deadly!

i personally like the matching side blades - but yeah, the black and carbon looks wicked.
