As for why Husky/Mohawk are low;
while they have ethanol in their gas so it burns cleaner, they also put a lot of sulpher in to offset and this is bad for your cat with prolonged use.

so were these test from one single station for each ? or where they from multiplte stations ?

I have seen the same truck drop off fuel at a petrocanada, and then drop off fuel to safeway .
weird.



I run Shell most of the time because of airmiles and it has VPOWERRR!!!

If im feeling cheap i go to safeway for 0.07cents off.

Or if im in BC and drive past a chevron i put in 94 because i like to pretend my car is fast

I fill with husky 94 in the summer, and esso/petro can 91 for the winter months.

A co-worker was saying the same thing about husky gas being bad for your car in the long run, but if all it does is clog your cat then no biggie.

This makes no sense to me as to why Husky would add sulphur content to their fuel with ethanol blend? There are rules and regulations as too how much sulphur can be in gasoline and Husky has too abide by them as does everyone else. So unless you show us some facts and figures on this so called high sulphur content in their fuels I call B.S.
Below are the Sulphur content regulations for fuel as stated in Canadian Law.
P.S. Their gas won't harm anyones Cats.

the only thing i noticed with husky and mohawk gas
or anything with ethanol was that when i ran it in my audi (5cyl turbo)

It ran like crap. . . sputtered, surged REALLY BAD, and actually completly died a few times. . . Ran it to about half tank then topped up with shell premium or soemthing else with no additives and it smartened right up and ran fine.

Same thing happens with a friends mk2 jetta. And my turbo shadow. . . maybe it's just older engines dont like the ethanol . . or what. But i try to steer clear now

The company ran tests over a month I believe, from multiple stations around the GVRD. If the VW forums there didn't undergo changes every 6 months cause the moderator is an idiot I would be able to pull the data off the old vwdov.ca forum.

Yes you would see a PetroCan truck drop off fuel to Safeway, as I said they buy everyones surplus gasoline or whoever has it cheapest when they need it. My roommate used to do the gasoline accounting for Shell and Safeway and Co-op used to purcahse a lot of their fuel as well.

As for performance is 94 ay husky still the best. WHo care's about CAT'S, power is what i want.
