  • Need shipping advice...ASAP

Im currently in the process of sealing a deal for a used SMIC and I was wondering if you guys think it is worth it for me to get him to send it to Sweetgrass or to have it sent directly to me?

I'd imagine the box would be small and would not weigh much.

Do you think the brokerage fees will costly enough that it would be a good idea for me to drive down to sweetgrass????

Please keep in mind that I live in Edmonton and it would cost me a little more $$ and time to drive south to Sweetgrass.

If you're OK not having a tracking number, ask him to send it USPS. Brokerage fees are a flat rate, something like $5. I've had things send from the US via USPS and had them at my door in 2-3 days.

He said that he would ship it via USPS Priority. Does that mean it would be sent via air? Does it cost more in brokerage this way?

Like stated above, its really not worth going to sweetgrass to pick up the stuff. I went down in july to pick up my wheels and it was too much driving just to save a few bucks and i live in calgary. For you its gonna be twice as bad. Pay up the few extra dollars and have em ship it to ur door.

Nope, USPS priority just means it will go by air instead of ground. You should get it in 2-3 days, unless someone in customs is having a bad day.

If you dont have paypal....Get it. Takes a second to register. or find someone that has it. If you ship UPS go expedited. The chargers are very minimal for brokerage and only incur if you get inspected. USPS is awsome if thats an option. Comes through canada post and very rarely do you have to pay any extra charges.

United States Postal Service priority kind of like Canada Post express, brokerage will be $5 when shipped through postal service, $7 when shipped air with a courier, and more than $45 when shipped ground with a courier.
