I use crackdown for lack of a better word... Anyways, Saturday morning around 9:30am on my way to Edmonton on Hwy-2 about 30 minutes passed Red Deer I noticed about 4 or 5 RCMP cruisers pulled over lights flashing and everything and a bit of a traffic bottleneck. At first I thought it was an accident, but then it looked more like a checkstop (but obviously wasn't one since it was 9:30am, but thats what it *looked* like). But then when I got closer I saw that they were just waving most of the cars through EXCEPT for about 6 SRT-4s that were being pulled over to the right onto an off ramp.
While I was passing by one or two more SRT-4s were pulled over and they were all lined up on the right with the RCMP directing them to go there. Some had pretty elaborate paint jobs, but it was clear that probably none of them were stock. I guess they were cracking down looking for illegal modifications, I can't think of any other reason why, or maybe they were all speeding and someone called it in. I have no idea.
Just a heads up.
