  • Calgary Soccer Assoc.

I'm looking to join a team for CUSA, and am wondering what division to look for. I play rec soccer every so often, and am a decent player, but not a great player. Just how big a difference is there between Div2 and Div4 or 5 for example?

HUGE difference, if you haven't played in awhile join up with a div 6 team and have some fun. Unfortunetly I haven't played in the last couple years due to injury or I would recommend some teams to you.

DIV 2 Is quite competitive. If you're looking for fun, go with div 6 or 5.

Divs 1-3 have alot of people that are quite good at soccer, many of whom played soccer at college/university levels prior.

Reminds me of when I played intramural basketball in division "C" (lowest) at the UofC, every so often one of the other teams would have a player from the Calgary Dinos, wtf? It goes without saying that we would lose those games by a wide margin.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm trying for a Div3 or 4 team.

          LOL... I hear you Kris.

I played Div2 Basketball at Uni, and we made it to the finals against a team we played once already. Suddenly during the finals they showed up with an entirely different team of guys around 6,3"+.....
