    Re: pimp garage?

Well my garage is technically sorted out in my head but I just don't have time to finish it. If you want some idea on what to do before the drywall goes up I can give you some ideas.

        Re: pimp garage?

Mine is slightly pimp, people walking by often come in and chat about it if I'm working out there. Will post a few picks. My only suggestion is get a pro to do the taping. I also did a bunch of research on the floor and couldn't find anything that would last and not look worse than just the concrete (or cost a fortune like those poly tiles).

floor drain. keeps the floor clean and so no one can complain about you washing your car! i think a built in compressor and connections on 3 walls would be nice.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

                  Re: pimp garage?

I am going to run vac lines to the side walls of my garage run to the back side where a shop vac will act as the vacuum. I have a pull down retractable air hose reel that will be recessed into the ceiling. I will also be mounting a retractable electrical reel beside the air hose. I am also going to mount some pig tanks for the air up top. I also have plans drawn up for a small downdraft painting box that will fold up into the wall when not in use. I also have to dig up my lawn again to run 220 to the garage and I already have a secondary panel to go in. So in short I have a crap load of work to do.

That's with 2 cars and a motorbike inside. Drain in the floor, and a deep freeze with a small oil heater to keep the place warmer in winter. Don't think I'll bother with anything else for awhile.

I asked for the floor drain before they poured the floor. Built the bench with some 3/4 plywood and 2x4s. Bought some of that countertop laminate and glued it onto the top. Works really well, and works out a lot cheaper than the kits. Justifies having all the saws and stuff.
