  • Help a no-techy....

So I'm setting up the wireless network at my house, and it's being a royal pain. I went through the whole spiel, and now I'm just setting it up through "routerlogin".

N.M. - I got it.... just need help as per below with security.

    N.M.... got the network going.

Now, as for advice..... It's asking what I want for security settings.

    -Nothing
    -WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)
    -WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)

    Suggestions? I have no clue....

        Awesome, thanks Ryan.

But it's asking for a Key.... can I autopopulate those with whatever they decide?

oh yea it will gen you a HEX key (26 digits) then you have to write that key1 down and put that into your windows connection/whatever to get onto the network.. its easy enough

it may ask you for a passphrase to gen a key from so just put in a random word.
