I am pretty sure there is no Upsolute for Mazda... Simon just does Porsche/VW I think.

There are a lot of tuner shops in town, I would just start visiting them and chatting with the people who work there.

You can chip Mercs? What sort of gains would there be for an E500?

I would tell your friend not to waste time on chips for the Protege, If you can find one, I don't think the gains would be worth it for what he would pay.

Well it IS a turbo so the gains might be alright. But I would think if he doesn't know much about cars 170hp would be plenty unless he's a speed junky. But I found this site, there's a whole section devoted to the Mazdaspeed.

I went on it for a bit, a lot of interesting information including people saying DO NOT BUY THIS CAR! There's a couple in every bunch:yahsure: :mrscrewy:

I thought i'd look into it a bit since I like those cars. Did they get a burnt Orange one, or the silver?

No? How come? Well I mean besides the fact that it's not German, a HUGE strike against it for me. But I mean does it feel bad or cheap? I wouldn't buy one myself but it seems like a good concept, inexpensive, good power, good handling.
