According to the J. Vair Anderson website, they carry:

      Tag
      Omega
      Rolex
      Tissot
      Chopard
      Bvlgari
      Glashutte

I'll stop by for sure, I wanted to try on a few Omegas.

ya that website is sorely out of date -in fact the woman is getting a new one made through critical mass. Ask for Sarah if you do decide to head in!

Bringing this back up, there was a watch auction in Switzerland over the weekend of one mans collection, 705 watches and one went for over have a million, insane....

Just putting the brand of Sinn out there, they are related to Bell & Ross but cheaper and font always reminds me of Porsche. Here is the nice classic 656 which I think is very nice and can be had for around 1,200 so not too bad price wise too.

Four weeks till I go away so shouldn't be too long till I get a new watch, exciting!!!

Well only a couple weeks till I head away and hopefully come home with a new watch. I am trying to see what kind of stock is there on the Bell & Ross 2008 colours, I think the Yellow & Red are coming out first but they are BR01 (46mm in size) but there will only be 500 of each so could very tempting. The Phantom and Blue are the BR03 size (42mm) but will not be limited edition just a new colour but may not be out till July.

I have found 1 yellow on ebay already but they are wanting $6,500 for it which is a tad steep.

Just got back from Europe Monday and bought myself a new everyday watch there. It's a Spazio24 (not very expensive - 108 Euros), but I really like the look.

I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Thinking about buying myself something cheaper as an everyday watch since I keep postponing my Tag and spending money on the car :/

Well I am pretty happy with the number of parts for the smart, and a watch is usually a better investment. The shop I am dealing with does have a Phantom Chrono in stock, 1 of 500 in the world would be a great purchase but could be a little hard to swallow the 7K price tag, but they go on ebay for typically 8k+ so still a good buy and still not sure how it will look on as they are massive.

I really like the watch face, and B&R make some quality product, but I have issue spending 7k on a watch that has a rubber strap :P

It comes with canvas too I know what you mean but there are a lot of watches these days coming with rubber straps, even some in the near 100K category. B&R does have leather and croc straps that will fit so I might be able to get one thrown in if I spend that kind of coin.

                          ever heard of Nomos, Blair?

                          http://www.watchbuys.com/store/pc/vi...&idproduct=242

seems like a decent watch for a decent price

also, have you ever bought a winder?

I have only seen Nomos from the Watchbuys site (looked at Sinn's a few times) they look nice, not sure on the movements but in-house made which is not all that common these days.

I don't have a winder as I only have 1 automatic watch so far, but when I get another one I might be tempted, just most of them cost a lot, and I might rather put that money back into a watch. It is debated about winders as the movement might be too repetitive for a watch, no variation like when it is worn but who knows. When my Tag goes dead if I have not worn it, I usually just wear it for a couple hours, then adjust the time back to correct once it has some power, keep from using the crown so much.

Put a BR01 on my wrist yesterday at Holt, very large but I think I might be able to get away with it, and they have no idea on the special editions and stuff there, plus their prices are about 15% more than US suggested retail, so I think buying overseas is the way to go.
