            I really like Bart's ORIS

I hate the 007 Seamasters. Hate.

Best Omega is something like the Aqua Terra or a DeVille

The Railmaster's are pretty nice, saw a 50th Anniversary edition in Sydney at Christmas time, was nice but massive.

              Check out this madness....

                Re: Watch Aficionados?

Do you guys buy these online, or is there a good watch store somewhere in Calgary? I wasn't really a watch man until I looked in this thread, there are some VERY nice pieces indeed.

                  Re: Watch Aficionados?

I think most of us have bought online as that usually works out to be cheaper then buying local, really depends on the brand and price point as we don't have authorized dealers for all the brands locally. If you are going to spend big bucks just want to make sure you buy it from someone/some place you can trust.

My next watch purchase I am going to make in person, probably in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore as the number of dealers there is massive, and I hope the prices will be good too. I think the biggest thing with watches is setting a budget as you can really spend as much or as little as you want. That last Marc Alfieri I posted probably costs more than my condo and there are only 23 being made so a little out of my price point.

I really like bart's. What's the name of that one so I can look for something similar and find out what a price range for something like that is. I know its an Oris, but google search has failed me.

I think it's an Oris Williams F1 of some sort, there are a few variations, I think in the $500-1000 range.

My Dad got a fantastic price on his Tag through:

                          www.authenticwatches.com

They are grey-market but the real deal, he had it appraised at 3x the price he paid the day that it arrived.

Personally the Monaco is one of my all time favorite watches so I would say go for it, I love mine. I did see a Limited Edition Vintage Gulf watch at Xmas time in Sydney, probably should have taken a closer look at it, but was trying to be good
