Most of the watches I am looking at are in the $2k plus category, the Panerai I posted is over 6 grand (hence why it is not on my wrist). You can spend unlimited amounts of money on watches, just yesterday I saw a Harry Winston for sale for over $300,000, anything with a Tourbillon movement is usually 6 figures, but so amazing.

Not a fan of the PRS200 as they are Quartz I believe, not a fan of Quartz movement myself although obviously is pretty low maintenance vs Automatic or Manual watches. Nice looking watch though for sure.
My dad bought himself a "retirement present" from authenticwatches.com last week, so far he has been singing their praises as a good buying experience. Watch hasn't come yet though so we'll see.
I have a long shot question for you guys. I will going to Europe in April, and I am looking to pick up a watch while I am there if the price is right. I am hoping to get an Omega Seamaster GMT. Do you think they will be cheaper over there? I am going to Germany, Spain, Italy, and Chech. Rep.
Invicta Watches has a very large collection of pieces and things that range from a couple hundred dollar quartz movement pieces to automatic chronos costing in the 1000s.

That's actually a nice looking watch. The only "nice" watch I have right now is a Baume & Mercier that I received as an undergrad grad gift. As for watches in Europe, the only way they will be cheaper is if they are fakes, and Italy has a TON of those. They are the masters of counterfeiting....
Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

Prices on swiss watches in switzerland are a bit cheaper, even when paying in euros, but not enough to warrant the trip if you werent already planning on going there...Ive got tickets to the euro cup this year, italy v. france in switzerland so Ill likely be picking something up then.

You can buy factory direct in Switzerland which maybe a little bit cheaper but is also much cooler. I have been researching the watch boutiques in Kuala Lumpur and I think I am going to go into shock when I start looking there, just hope they are a little cheaper since most things are, did I mention the airfare from KL to Singapore is $7 before tax
Euro 2008 will be awesome James!

You're Lucky... the Euro Cup will be awesome. Go Deutschland!
I'm going to Europe in May, but won't be going anywhere near Switzerland, only Italy, Greece, Spain, and Turkey. I'm pumped though
