Yep... but it appears to be hitting the critical mass necessary for it to be really useful... ok I guess "useful" is maybe a stretch, but you get the idea.

I think Facebook is fine opened up to everyone. It is more secure than MySpace (seemingly) and if you don't want to be found either; a) adjust your privacy settings to limit your profile to just friends or b) don't join any networks.

        Re: Facebook Group for Eurodrivers

facebook has always been useful if you utilized the class listing thing it had, so you could basically have groups for your classes and stuff like that. few of my classes used that.

thing that sucks about it now is because its open to everyone and because it has become so popular there is a lot of security risks. simply changing your settings helps a little but doesn't do nearly enough. the minifeed for example is far too informative .

its one of those things which cuts like a two edged sword. you want information and freedom, but there are always those who will abuse it. As mentioned there has been more than 1 case I know of where people have got in trouble because of things posted on facebook. Whats really bad is you don't even know someone else has posted the items because you are not tagged in the photo and all of a sudden you wind up getting thrown out of res because someone else posted a picture, didn't tag you, and made it viewable to everyone including those who work for residence services.

Its an even bigger issue in the states my friend at school in Florida said. You get hammered for underage drinking and can be thrown out of res if they see you doing drugs or drinking in res just from photos.

I hate the way people creep as well, its literally creepy.
