Just wondering if anyone has the know-how and capability to convert 2 VHS tapes into digital format so that I can put it on a DVD.

Geoff? Ryan? Don't suppose you guys have some video editing equipment?

Unfortunately you will have to rip them from your VCR to your computer via a Svideo IN connection or composite In connection on your videocard and audio to your audio in on the soundcard, and capture it with adobe premiere.. with XP movie maker 2.0 might work doing this but I haven't tried it before. Chris do you have a dvd burner? If not you might want to just get it done at a shop but they will probably charge you a ton.

ps.. I have all the equipment to do this but not really the time right now. I used to rip vhs's on my old computer and its quite easy as long as you have all the proper cables and software and a big HD for all the video.

I have an old Analog capture card, but the quality is ****. Only high end analog cards have decent capture rates.

You could use a Digital camcorder to leech the video tape (assuming no copy protection) then create a video that way - I've never tried it.

yes that will work too is to input the vcr to your camcorder and basically hit record and it will go on then its super easy to capture.. i have a radeon 9700pro that does awesome analog capturing and my old radeon 64mb vivo did it great too..
