MS extended the warranty but only for the 1,3,4 red lights infamous (general h/w failure). If you have 1,3 or 1,2,3,4 it's still only a year.

The 1,3 that I have is "rare" and means it's overheating. Some times I get 20mins of play time, other times 45 and then it shuts down.

One thing they mentioned is to make sure your 360 is plugged directly into the wall and not into a power bar. Last night I did that and played it for 1.5hrs straight with no issues. I'm still skeptical but that's the longest it's worked for a while.

If it fails on me again though I'm cracking it open and going to re-seat the heatsink on the GPU and CPU as that has worked for some.

do you have to pay for that shiz? i have a few 1 month free live cards sitting around from my broken xbox's lol.. but i don't have any hot network connections for my 360.. unless the wifi dealy for xbox1 works? i'll have to try i guess

Got my replacement xbox today, only 19 days from call to replacement, they have picked up the pace for sure. Looking forward to playing some games again!

I have been pumped for Splinter Cell: Conviction for quite a while now, and they keep bumping the release date. it used to be November 2007, then got pushed to March 08, then April. and now, the release date is nowhere to be found. there are rumours of even October 08!

Woot! Gran Turismo 5 coming out in a few days!

It's nice that I never have to worry about my PS3 acting up! Had mine since the day it came out, never a problem!!

I learned from using Windows and many other Microsoft products to stay far far away from the X-box.
