Re: question about tunershop and their prices

Yeah tunershop's prices are all in USD and are SHIPPED prices using UPS. It also includes everything you need to bolt it on your car. Longer lugs, hubcentric rings etc.

I bought my CR7's from them but the UPS shipping absolutely ASS RAPED me. Duties was outrageous and so was brokerage. They won't write it as a gift either or use a different carrier from when I bought.

Service wasn't that good either. Called them and the phone rang forever. Steve (I think the owner) was ok to deal with. He knew his **** thats for sure. If you can get it for cheaper in Canada do it. You will save on the brokerage/duties. RPI might be a good option in this case despite being initially more expensive.

UPS always does that... if you can take half a day off, just have UPS ship to the sweetgrass montant depot, its 3 hours down and 3 hours back to pick up your tires. You'll save money though and it can be an ok drive.

Re: question about tunershop and their prices

          no brokerage wont be bad
it does not go through usa customs as they come straight from germany and he only uses fedex now not ups to canada
he wont send as a gift and cant as he has a business that sells alot of wheels so sayng there all gifts could bite him in the ass....but he wont claim as much as u pay he will claim their cost list price from the wharehouse. my wheels approx 500usd retail each he only claimed them for around 1000usd

i paid around $100 duties for the wheels. and from most cases people ive seen order have not been payin anything when ordered from tunershop.

so in this case going through sweetgrass wont benifit you unless you want to drive down there anyhow but u will still be paying taxes at the border on them then

Yeah same with me!! The claimed value on the shipping bill was $961 USD so theoretically that is the amount I would pay on! I might be one of the lucky ones however as I didn't have to pay up front therefore I might not get a bill at all!!!

what do you guys think of going 205/40 of the 7.5's in front and 215 on the 9's in the rear? would there be any stretch at all going this route? only reason im wondering beceause 195's are so rare to find

Re: question about tunershop and their prices

205/40 would give you a slight stretch on a 7.5, it'll look good.

205/40-16 on 16x 7.5's will be just noticable stretch if at all.

Some people run 195's on the 16x9's!! 205 on the 9 will be averagely stretched.

That's the plan, but edgeracing doesn't sell Dunlop :(

205-40 on 7.5 up front work good on this car though
                              215-40 on 9 rear
if u have a jetta u should look at getting a set of these maybe

i would be running these on a 97 gti, i see that 205 is barly a strech on a 7.5, but if i would go 215 on rear would it be a similar strech all around?

wow that site that triple g mentioned has cheap tires. maybe we can do a small group buy kinda thing on these tires pm me if you will go pick these up then we can go together
