    Re: Ripped off on Vortex

    Guy's name is fahrvergnugenvw

His part out thread is here.

There are a few people starting to speak up on the thread about not getting what they bought.

I'm off to my local cop shop today to file my report. The mention of doing so got a response from him, so maybe actually doing it will get him to ship my seats! By the time they get here, winter will be over and I won't be wanting the heater any more (my heater's busted so I bought new seats rather than replacing the heater....which Brent was more than willing to help me out with.)

Sorry to hear about this Jeff, it looks your not the only one who has had problems getting their parts from this clown, hopefully with the police involvement you can get some kind of resolution. Good luck.

Damn that sucks that this guy can't get his act together. Im really interested in some interior stuff I know he would have, but with the reputation he's creating it doesnt sound worth it.

          Update time...

I still haven't received anything from this guy. When I spoke to the police, they indicated that, while I could start a fraud complaint, the fraud unit is quite busy and it would be "a long while" before it ever got looked at. The Constable I was talking to was prepared to send the guy an e-mail for me, but stopped when it was a hotmail account. He was concerned that this "kid" could be anybody and anywhere, and it wasn't worth it.

I did get the kid to give me a phone number and have spoken with him. More broken promises of delivery of my seats. The whole idea was to have heated seats for winter...and by the time they get here if he ever does ship them, it will be summer and I won't "need" the heat!

My latest tactic that I'm looking into is filing a civil suit. From what I've found on the net so far, I can't determine that if I'm in Alberta and want to sue someone in another province, where do I submit my claim? I've got an e-mail into the BC judiciary system with that question, so I'm hoping to hear back from them soon.

The thing that REALLY has me concerned now is that there is a comment from someone else in the sales thread that they are waiting for the seats to be shipped. WTF? I bought the seats! I've got an IM in to that person to see what I can learn there...

More updates when interesting things happen....

Just pay a lawyer to send a letter, even if you don't plan to follow up, the threat of "legal action" from a lawyer scares people.
