Where's the best place for some new wheels for a Volvo? CMS doesnt seem to carry them (or they don't list on thier site?)

    One more

Where is the best place for some body work? The wife backed into a pillar with the 70.

        Hey,

New around here. Picking up an 05 Volvo S60R this week. The interior is a real love it or hate it color -- I love it LOL. 6 Speed manual with 300 horsepowers and 295 torques.

Thanks, I love the interior color -- it's called Atacama after the desert in Chili.

Can't wait to modify it -- emailed Boy Racer -- he's chipped a VW I've had before and I figure a chip tune is the best place to start.

              Thanks, but I'm thinking 18's

I saw this post for Chippy Auto Appearance over on Beyond.ca -- apparently they can do small jobs and blend the paint at a cheaper than body shop price -- I guess it all depends on your pocketbook and desire to have it perfect again.

I noticed Bob moved after I asked this. I'll definatly look him up.

I think the back needs more than Chippy. It at least 1/2" deep dent with some scratches.

By the way were a two Volvo family now. Wife picked up a 06 XC70 on Saturday. She wouldn't go for the 05 V70R that Valentine had on the lot.

                  Wouldn't go for the V70R?!?!?!

                  That's grounds for divorce

The XC is nice though -- lotsa ground clearance and great for winter -- and she won't tear the front air dam off

Although I don't drive one now, I've owned an '81 900S, '86 9000 turbo and a '89 900S. All of which went past 300000 km. Between the rest of the family we also had an '84 900, '84 900 turbo and a '87 900 as well. Great cars, (the '84 turbo excepted) most people just don't know enough about them to work on them properly. Although my finances will have to improve, I've been debating finding a clean pre 94 900 turbo and making a project car out of it.

                        Re: Introduce yourself, Swede Lurkers

Just finished putting my 9000 back together. Installed the SQR Stage 4 ecu, new head gasket and timing chain guides, td04 turbo from a viggen, new 3" intake. Waiting on my exhaust to be shipped but it still pulls like a demon.

                        Turbo and wastegate bracket

                        Intake Pipe

                        Turbo

I am so happy to have a shop to do this all in...I would hate to use jackstands
Also put in the front strut brace and genuine saab short shifter to aid in me braking my tranny.

Sweet setup, I've always maintained that the 9000 was an under-rated performer. Even on my stock '86 9000 turbo it felt like there was more than the advertised 160 HP. What kind of HP/tq numbers do you think this setup is pushing?

PS: that wouldn't be the old Raybern shop would it?

Once I get the exhaust they say its supposed to be 308 bhp. I ported the turbo out a ton on the exhaust side to help control boost spikes and get some better flow.

                            Its Valentine volvo actually

Now that im back from vacation I have actually been driving it. Pulls very nicely now, I have to toss my boost gauge on and see what its going to because saab tells me "red" and I can't remember what the max on that gauge is. Solved all my little leaks that I was having so i'm very happy with it. I do need to get some heat wrap for my intake pipes though because I notice that it becomes heat soaked easily when sitting in traffic on days like today.
